Dr. Emily Sander
Dr. Emily Sander was born in Yreka, California and is a graduate of Southern Oregon University. She obtained her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY.
After completion of her residency training, she was excited to come back to the west coast. She began working at Three Rivers Medical Center where she started her career as an Emergency Medicine attending. The following year, she became board certified in Emergency Medicine and accepted a job in her hometown to be closer to family. She has continued her work at Fairchild Medical Center where she served as an assistant medical director and then the director of the Emergency Department for the past four years.
Over the course of her career in Emergency Medicine, she realized that she wanted to help patients in a more in-depth manner than what she could do in brief patient encounters. This led her to entering the fellowship of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. Currently, she is a fellow in this program and is continuing to work with several mentors to further round out her training. She is a lifelong learner and is always trying to find new ways to better serve her patients. An integrative approach is what she is most excited to bring to her patients in Southern Oregon.
Dr. Sander resides in Yreka, CA with her husband and daughter. She enjoys camping and hiking with her family, writing, riding horses, and traveling as much as possible.
